This confrontational piece was a direct commentary on the recent decision to lay a pipeline through The Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia, Canada. Installed low in a busy hallway, the viewer was forced to be uncomfortably close to an unfamiliar object.

With a perceived mass, the line work of this piece creates a void where a viewer can use their imagination to fill in the vacant spaces. Based off of a once heard poem, the love of being alone on a cold, dark ocean floor outweighs the everyday routine we are forced to live in our day to day lives. The wanting for seclusion exemplifies the empty spaces found within the figure.

This piece was based off of an assignment my upper level sculpture class was given. We were provided access to the retired slide library, giving us the material to create something with. I utilized the old hand painted slides at the base and then cut out film from the newer slides to create a collage effect.

My collection is made up of small objects and memories that I typically find on walks or recieve from friends. I hold onto these items because they seem significant to me.
I had the opportunity to show my collection of found treasures at the Plains Art Museum in their Community Collections show put on by North of Normal.
I have started experimenting with making combs in my spare time.
